Go Green with McLeod Creative

We have a commitment to the environment and value the ways we can reduce our carbon footprint within our business. McLeod Creative has many programs in place to support the earth. Recycling is one way we try to be environmentally conscious, but in graphic design, paper is king. Our new venture, The One Bride Guide, has made an exciting breakthrough in Corpus Christi regarding paper.

While we were planning our first issue of The One Bride Guide, we asked the experts at Golden Banner Press about recycled paper options. Two days after that discussion, a Sappi Paper rep showed up with a custom paper for Golden Banner: Golden Gloss Recycled - GORGEOUS. The weight and feel of the paper was exceptional. We were sold on quality, now what about the recycled part? Turns out, the Sappi paper is completely manufactured in the US (most recycled paper pulp comes from China -  kind of defeats the purpose, right?). The pulp content is much higher than most recycled papers (hence, the great feel) and with the pulp coming directly from the US, we aren't contributing to greenhouse gasses from the shipping from China! SOLD! No other publication in Corpus Christi has used such high-quality conscious paper.

The One Bride Guide not only uses great paper, the magazine is printed using soy-based inks - another way to be environmentally friendly!

Sappi Golden Gloss Recycled paper boasts 30% Post Consumer Waste,* FSC Chain of Custody and SFI fiber sourcing certifications. 100% of the electricity used to manufacture the paper is Green-e certified renewable energy.
